Watch: Kate Upton’s trainer posts video of model’s impressive strength training

It turns out that the iron is a key part of the SI Swimsuit model’s workout routine.

Another day, another training with Kate Upton.

In his latest Instagram post, Upton’s trainer, Ben Bruno, shared a video of the model crushing it with heavy deadlifts. The post was accompanied by a sweet caption about how far the three-time swimsuit cover model SI has come in the gym.

“Before, she was very afraid to lift heavy weights, but now she’s the one asking me to increase the weight,” Bruno wrote. “Strength training does wonders for the body and mind. I love seeing the transformation.”

Nearly 15,000 fans who liked the video are also proud of Kate for going above and beyond. Bruno asked Upton to add more reps in the middle of a set and she didn’t! “A deal is a deal,” she said with a smile, putting the bar down after she initially promised five reps.

“Strength training is good for the body (and the mind),” Bruno wrote in a text superimposed on the video. “The trap bar deadlift is a great exercise for working your legs and buttocks without putting excessive pressure on your lower back.”

Upton practiced his trap-bar deadlifts as well as a variation—the staggered-position trap-bar deadlift—intended to strengthen one leg at a time. She did it all while wearing a skirt, which, as one fan commented, makes her a “certified bada-s.”

Upton has been sharing snippets of her fitness routine with her fans for years and advocates investing in the effort to look and feel your best.
