Police arrest Rupert man for luring child to internet

RUPERT — The police department has arrested a Rupert resident for incitement to a child.

According to a press release issued by the Rupert Police Department, 39-year-old Bradley Allen Pedersen was arrested on September 1. 16, with the help of Idaho Department probation and parole officers.

According to court records, Pedersen is charged with the felony of incitement to a child through internet use and attempted lewd conduct. He is also charged with six counts of attempting to distribute hazardous materials to a minor.

He was arraigned in Minidoka County Magistrate’s Court on Monday. The date of his preliminary hearing was not recorded in court documents on Tuesday.

The police department encourages everyone to report any suspicion of child abuse in any form, including Internet child abuse, to the police.
