Trek Health Raises $2.7M in Seed Funding – FinSMEs

Hiking Healtha San Mateo, Calif.-based payment and insurance workflow automation platform for mental health care provider groups, closed a $2.7 million seed funding round dollars.

The round was led by Lionheart Ventures with participation from Founder Collective, Jack and Max Altman of Altman Capital, Matt Brezina of Ford Street Ventures, Snapdocs CEO Aaron King, Okta CEO Frederic Kerrest, former director of Salesforce strategy Clarence So, former One Medical vice president of operations Rich Menendez, and others. Trek Health’s board will be joined by Shelby Clark, venture capital partner at Lionheart Ventures and founder of the world’s largest car-sharing marketplace, Turo.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its operations and business reach.

Led by CEO and Founder Dilpreet Sahota, Trek Health provides a platform that integrates with EHR systems to provide access to a suite of solutions for mental health providers, including instant claim reimbursement, generation and automatic claim submissions, and payer enrollments in over 900 insurance networks. The company serves a wide range of clients across the United States, including inpatient mental health rehabilitation centers, outpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient psychotherapy facilities, and venture capital-backed mental health startups.
